What the fuck is it with most parents on penpal sites where they have a photo of themselves up with their toddler daughter or son but emoji over the toddler’s face?
I hate to be the one to break it to your presumptuous arse here madam but no one gives a fucking shit what your child looks like. Yes I know you think they’re the most precious and amazing little girl in the whole wide world. But you’re the only one. And what does it even matter? By the time they’re 10 they will already be completely unrecognisable from the photo you’ve chosen to put up of them on your profile page right now. Do you really feel that self-important and vital that you think anyone out there is taking notes on what little Sarah aged 4 looks like? NO ONE GIVES A SHIT. Or maybe you just think “the internet” is just you and the residents of your village.
I think it is something to do with them worrying about their child being a target for nasty comments, and then worrying they will somehow someday see them and develop a complex, which is silly… I agree.

I dunno. The only places I’ve seen them do this, there is the facility to not only block the person posting the comments, but remove the comments as well. 🤷🏻♂️
