Milk prices for my 2 pint bottle of Cravendale are possibly going to hit £2 soon. £1 per pint. About a year ago, before America’s poodle Zelenskyy finally did what his master told him and provoked Russia enough to attack, it was about £1.05 – and often on offer at £1. To me it’s an alarmingly fast increase. And I single out milk because I would mind a hell of a lot less if this increase was being used to pass on a bigger share of the profit to milk farmers. But I know even without needing to look it up for proof that this won’t be happening. I don’t know if we will ever see a return to £1 2 pint Cravendale bottles….that’s quite depressing to think about.
