I am STILL fucking ill. This cold or whatever it is started last Thursday, and this is the longest I’ve ever had a cold for. If I was still working at the care home I’d have loved this. But I’m not. I’m doing a job I LOVE now, and I want to be better for it. I had to force myself to go in on Friday through a combination of needing the money and not wanting to let Royal Mail down.
Now I have 2 days of glorious solitude which will do my mental health some good. I’ve been having to be sociable pretty much non-stop since last Monday I NEED A FUCKING BREAK FROM PEOPLE. Not only can I cope extremely well without anyone but relentless humans end up being just too much for me to cope with.
2023 will be a big year for me but I’ll comment on that on the 1st of January.
Been gathering in the free games from Epic but a HELL of a lot of disappointment there this year. I think most of them were those dreadful fucking blocky Indie games. The ones that look like shit but are supposed to be “throwbacks” or “retro”. Or “charming” (games journalist speak for “looks like shit”). At least they gave us the deeply pretentious Death Stranding on Christmas Day. So Boxing Day is here and I hope we get another nice one. Metro Redux was given away AGAIN. There isn’t a year that passes without at least one Metro ‘Redux’ game being given away on one platform or another.
Time to get back to chilling here.
