Good morning!! I woke up to my main account back in 4 figures again – just 2 days after a rather nice surprise that I was getting 1 last pay cheque from the care home. This is a very welcome cash injection!
My heart says I should really start getting my act together and start deciding on parts for my next gen BEAST of a PC. But alas, my head says that I really should treat my lovely car to a FULL service – including replacement air and pollen filters, at Halfords. My Polish friend I used to have once told me that her dad said “there is no such thing as an honest mechanic”, and for the longest time I refused to believe her. But the difference between the independent garage I used to use for everything, and the conveyor belt style of a big national company like Halfords is a little bit too stark not to bear that theory out.
When I used to put my car through the garage, for anything at all, they used to find “oooh this wrong” and “ooh this is coming up to needing replacement”. I put my car through the same thing with Halfords and they just give it back to me having passed it completely. My eyebrow is raised….
It’s been I think nearly 2 years since the last full service. I need to pay my car some respect here. Hopefully they have some offer on or something.
