“Arkham Horror : Mother’s Embrace” : First Impressions

Hmmmmm, I’m not entirely sure what this game is trying to be. At the moment it feels like some sort of clumsy point and click adventure/ isometric action hybrid. The gamma default is set WAY too low – it’s overcast out, not sunny, and I’ve barely made any adjustments to my default monitor settings, yet in some scenes I can barely see a thing.

I’m trying to get into a mansion of some old woman, who has invited me there, and although it seems like she’s inside, I can hear her talking to me the entire time – although I’m not sure whether that’s her talking to the player outside the game or the character in the game. I’m not sure if I’m going back to this game in a hurry, but I’ll leave you with a screenshot which sadly, only the first few scenes into the game, is not the only example of what you can see…
