Royal Mail have called me!! The man said you’ll have basically more or less got the job already! I’m now waiting for 2 e-mails, with details of when to attend the sorting depot and who to report to at what time. For now it is Sunday only if I remember what he said rightly, but when I said I’d want more or less full time hours he said after all being well in the initial starting phase I’ll probably more than likely be offered more.
Crucially he said the CRB checks probably won’t come back this side of Christmas, so I’ll probably not now hear anything back until around the 8th of January. This gives me a hell of a lot more notice to give to my manager than I originally thought – which can only be a good thing.
I feel like I’m on my way now…..back to a normal daytime life….
