No don’t worry I’m not about to tell you how to be more politically correct out there.
I’m thinking of upgrading my beast PC again….already. Last upgrade I deliberately chose an Intel CPU (a Skylake) at least 3 generations below the current one due to the fact it was one of the final Intel processors to support Windows 7 – which as we all know was the final version of Windows.
But here’s the most stupid situation to be in..although, I think it might BE the situation I’m left with…
Due to the downgrade to Windows 10 being free for users of Windows 7, or it’s fucking awful sequel tablet Operating System Windows 8, that did of course mean there was no need at all to enter a Windows Key – Microsoft just checked that yes you had a legit version of Windows (or alternatively Windows 8), and away you went. But what if then you needed to install to a new PC build? Is your 3 figure purchase of Windows 7 suddenly null, void and worthless…?
Okay just researched some more and it seems the basic solution is just as stupid as any other solution you could think of. I’d basically have to either set the PC up with the final version of Windows, then downgrade to Windows 10, or I’d have to get hold of a Windows 10 .iso and then activate that – with the Windows 7 Pro key.
Never let it be said that Microsoft run a coherent fucking ship…..
