The ‘reasons’ they eventually splutter out for needing a gun, basically (emphasis on the “basic”) amount to “cos reasons” and “just in case”. Yeeeeuuurpp – don’t gawn need no more reason dan dayt, Cleetus!
Or how about “once your house catches fire it’s too late to go out and buy a fire extinguisher”. WELL, fuck me, thanks for totally swaying me on this one, you semi-pro master of psychology, you! After hearing that I now DON’T think that all rampant, loosely controlled gun ownership does is merely escalate gun crime, not prevent it!!
That old man at the firing range corrected the reporter on her assertion that gun violence is “a massive problem”. Let’s take a little look at some shootings related to the coronavirus shall we…? Oh yes let’s….It’s a good job all those people had guns to do all that with, isn’t it.
If you’re going round someone’s house to um…..steal their food (do, please, link me to 1 single case where someone has gone round to someone’s house to steal food, by the way, where the homeowner only managed to survive because they had a gun), and you know the person probably won’t have a gun, do you take yourself an AK-47 along….? Flip side being, if you know the homeowner could well have a gun, do you take your AK-47 along…? Exactly – escalation point proven, now shut the fuck up about “guns save lives”. That’s you scrabbling around to try and justify the unjustifiable.
